I’ve no idea if there’s a need for a Debian group on this forum, but thought I’d set one up just in case there is. If you deploy or use Debian, or are just interested in using Debian in local government, feel free to join the group.

Note, that this is not intended to be in any sense set up in opposition to the Ubuntu group — I for one recommend both Debian and Ubuntu depending on which is liable to be best suited for any particular job, and many people find that doing things like running Debian on their servers, and Ubuntu on their desktops gives them what they want. I just happen to slightly biased Debian in that I’ve been a Debian Developer for about 13 years, and thought Debian probably deserved a group of its own.
